The Timing Framework: MLB Edition
The Framework
Built around four dimensions — Mindset, Timing, the Map, and Mechanics — governed by 12 natural movement principles.
- This is not a checklist. It is a self-organizing system
- When the first three dimensions are right, mechanics organize themselves
- 99 out of 100 hitting problems trace back to violating one of the 12 principles
- The fix is always the same — find the violation, return to the rehearsal, the system self-corrects
Phase 1 — Weeks 1 through 6
- One module unlocks every seven days
- Two principles per module — light, focused, no overwhelm
- Video volleys introduce each rehearsal — simple movement patterns your body already knows
- Goal: understand the system and begin embodying the principles
Phase 2 — Weeks 7 through 12
- The program runs it back — same 12 principles, deeper
- More of the course unlocks — additional drills, higher-level rehearsals, stride variations
- Principles connect to what you feel in live at-bats
- Goal: lock in your pregame routine and make the system automatic
Phase 3 — Months 4 through 6
- Shifts from learning to performing
- Game review becomes the primary focus — what's working, what needs a rehearsal reset
- Video volleys and Zoom calls as needed, not on a fixed schedule
- The 12 principles are now your diagnostic tool — you know what to look for
- Goal: take full ownership of your swing and your process
